Find who registered a domain, where it is registered, when it expires and which company hosts the website.
Enter a domain or paste a full website address.
A website involves three separate companies that are easy to confuse: the registrar where the domain name is registered, the DNS provider whose nameservers answer for it, and the hosting provider whose servers deliver the pages. This tool identifies all three.
Registration details come from RDAP, the official successor to WHOIS run by each registry. The hosting provider is found by resolving the website to its IP address and looking up which organisation owns that IP network.
Moving a website? Check the result here, update the nameservers or records at your registrar, then confirm with the DNS lookup tool and the website audit.
Most registrars and registries now withhold personal contact details under privacy rules such as GDPR and India's DPDP Act. The registrar, dates and nameservers stay public. To reach the owner, use the registrar's contact form or the email shown on the website.
It is the owner of the network the website's IP address belongs to. For most sites that is the hosting company. When a site sits behind a CDN or firewall such as Cloudflare, the CDN is shown and the real origin server stays hidden by design.
RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) is the structured, standardised replacement for WHOIS, run by the same registries. ICANN requires generic domains to support it. This tool queries RDAP directly, so results reflect the live registry record.
A few country-code registries do not publish RDAP, or may not answer in time. The hosting and DNS details are still shown, and you can try again later or check the registry's own WHOIS service.
The expiry date comes from the registry record. Renew well before that date; after expiry many domains enter a grace or redemption period, when restoring them costs more and the website and email may stop working.
Yes. It shows your current registrar, nameservers and host, which are the three things you change when migrating. Update the nameservers or DNS records at the registrar, then confirm the change with the DNS lookup tool.
